This week's Coaching Cocktail is about Hope. « Triumph often is nearest when defeat seems inescapable»- B.C.Forbes, Founder of Forbes Magazine.
I'd like to share with you Webster's Dictionary definition of the word Hope : A desire of some good, accompanied with at least a slight expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that it is obtainable. - Confidence in a future event; the highest degree of well-founded expectation of good. - To place confidence; to trust with confident expectation of good.- To expect with desire, to look forward to with hope.- To imagine, to think.
Faith and Hope go hand in hand. Without them, we are doomed to a life filled with doubt! Faith is tricky. You have to be very sure it is pointed in the right direction.
Hope is the turbo motor that keeps us moving forward, expecting the best possible outcome even though we may be facing challenging evidence of the contrary. Without it, we will not be able to go on and we may even give up. Hope keeps our Faith pointed in the right direction focused on our goals and our dreams. With hope they become possible and also attainable.
This week's recipe consists of ingredients that will nourish Hope within us as well as all around us. This is a perfect recipe for this New Year!
3 measures of Expectations: What do you expect? Are your expectations aligned with your true desires and dreams, or are they pointed in an entirely different direction? Do they support all that you have dared to imagine and dream or something totaly different?
6 measures of Faith: You might be surprised to learn you already have all the faith you will ever need. It's true! You don't gain Faith, you discover it and you direct it. The issue is not how much Faith you have, but where your Faith is invested? True Faith is that deep inner knowing that the good you desire is already yours.
3 measures of Belief: What happens when you believe something with all of your heart? Belief fuels enthusiasm, and enthusiasm explodes into passion. It fires our souls and lifts our spirits!-
212 the extra degree-Sam Parker and Mac Anderson 1 measure of Focus: Having a simple, clearly defined goal can capture the imagination and inspire passion. It can cut through the fog like a beacon in the night. Focus is critical to your success in business, and also in life. There is something powerful about laser-like focus. Having simple, clearly defined goals, and never losing focus of the long-term goals.
